Terms of Service

WapiRider lets a shop create a delivery, hand it to a rider, and give the customer a link to follow that delivery live. It records who carried the parcel and how it was handed over.

WapiRider is software. We do not employ riders, carry parcels, sell goods, or collect payment for goods on anyone's behalf. The sale is between the shop and its customer; the delivery arrangement is between the shop and its rider.

WapiRider is free to use during our launch period. Before we start charging, we will publish our prices and email every shop owner at least 30 days in advance. Nobody will be charged without first choosing a paid plan.

You must be at least 18 and give accurate details about your business. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by riders you invite.

You may only enter customer details you have a lawful reason to use for the delivery, and you are responsible for the goods, their price, and any cash-on-delivery amount you record. Disputes about goods or payment are between you and your customer.

Riders use WapiRider on behalf of a shop, not as our employees or contractors. While you have an active delivery, the app shares your location with that shop and its customer. Only mark a delivery as delivered after handing the parcel to the customer and entering the code they give you.

Follow traffic law. Never use the app in a way that takes your attention off the road.

A tracking link is for the person the delivery is addressed to. Please don't share it publicly: anyone holding it can see the rider approaching. Reviews you leave should be honest and about your own delivery.

Don't use WapiRider to deliver anything illegal. Don't try to access another shop's data, fake a location or a handover, or disrupt the service. Don't upload content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading, or that you don't have the right to share.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why.

We work hard to keep WapiRider running, but it depends on mobile networks, GPS and third-party services we don't control. A position on the map can be late or inaccurate, and the service can be interrupted. Don't rely on it for anything where a delay could cause harm.

WapiRider is provided as it is. As far as Kenyan law allows, we are not liable for lost, damaged or late goods, for disputes between shops, riders and customers, or for indirect losses such as lost sales. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 that cannot legally be limited.

You can stop using WapiRider at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@wapirider.com. A rider can leave a shop from the account screen.

If these terms change materially we will update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Kenya.
